The Barnyard on an early Sunday morning
Unwanted, throwaways, abandoned, homeless, feral, victim of hard times, sentenced to death by euthanasia for being “typical” or assisting other shelters and rescue groups with their unadoptables. Haven Acres Cat Sanctuary chose the sanctuary business model in order to provide a safe haven for all of the above as well as the occasional adoptables that find their way to the sanctuary and need a safe place to stay, be it temporary or permanent.
We all work full time jobs off the property, but when our day jobs end, we come home to another full time job attending to our cat residents needs. Eighteen+ hour work days is the norm but the unconditional love the cats give back is payment in full when they look into our eyes and without saying a word they know we really do care about them just as they are.
